Based near Pinvin, Worcestershire, Nick Brain setup as a sole trader in 2006, and started out contracting on his own with one tractor.

Nowadays it is a family business with three tractors (one New Holland and two Claas machines) and a range of slurry and silaging equipment. Nick's father Nigel works with him full-time, while his mother Elaine does the bookkeeping and supporting the drivers out in the field, in-between looking after two children.
