'OPICO has seen demand grow for a fast, cost-effective implement to spread straw evenly across the field to assist with drilling and slug control as well as aiding in the battle against problem grass weeds'.

"The EasyDrill is, much like the name, easy to set up using the Quartz 800 in-cab terminal...it's a really intuitive system and you only need a few moments in the cab to get your head around it", explains Mr Babbage, Alvis Contracting's main EasyDrill operator.  

"The new dryer has given us extra capacity and will allow us to take on more ground. It also means that we don't have wheat sitting off-farm for up to three weeks waiting to be dried", says farmer Will Clark. 

"The benefit of applying Avadex with a drill-mounted applicator are that a farmer is guaranteed to have a robust start to their herbicide programme in case the weather changes... and it also saves the cost of an additional pass to apply Avadex", says Hank King, Business Manager at Gowan UK and Ireland. 

"The crop looks clean at the moment, and we've used nothing but the FarmDroid", says Mr Hepburn, Farm Manager at Writtle University College. 

'This new model answers the needs of growers with less horsepower, it’s narrower 2.5m transport width makes it suitable for those regions where narrow lanes and tight gateways are an issue.'

"We also specified the additional 120-litre 'Pro Hopper' up front for companion crop or slug pellet application. With the combination of all three compartments we can, for example, put down OSR, a buckwheat companion crop and kickstart fertiliser in the same pass, with the coulters configured to plant two buckwheat rows between each OSR row", says farmer Peter Deeley. 

'The addition of new ‘Stealth’ soil-loosening legs add further to the Combi-Disc’s versatility, making it a true low disturbance subsoiler with the added ability of being able to provide some surface tilth creation at the same time.'

"With the other machine, it would take us at least two hours to change the moving parts. With the HE-VA 'Combi-Disc', it's four minutes!", says  Peter Vaughan. 

Andrew Williams, Farm Director at Home Farm Nacton, says that "the FarmDroid has been the solution to the weed control challenges of growing organic onions". 

"Introducing a forage wagon to help achieve top quality multi-cut silage cost efficiently, is proving an essential part of the unit’s management system" says farmer Deian Evans, who has his silage harvested by the Gethin and Aled Morgan. 

"Trials have shown that livestock dry matter intakes will go up when clovers are included in the sward. I would recommend that clovers make up 25 per cent of any multi-species reseeding mix", says Ben Wixey, Agricultural Director at Germinal.
