George Douglas is a long standing Rickerby customer and a well known agricultural contractor around the Carlisle area. 

George replaced an older OPICO Grass Master with a new one.

"The new machine is slightly heavier than the old one but travels well on the land. I use it on around 1,500 acres of grass a year, and have sown some wild bird seed with it too. I like the cab controller which allows setting and adjusting on the move, it also records the area travelled, plus how much seed has been distributed on the area. It has individual metering wheels for each seed outlet which ensures the same amount of seed per outlet. Two metering rollers are standard on the machine which can be adjusted for the right seed rate."

George uses the OPICO Grass Master on pasture land and stubble. "I use it to put my mustard seed in amongst barley that weather related problems too."

"The hydraulic fan handles a high seed rate application without blocking u. It travels well on the land and the tines are easy to alter according to ground conditions. It is a useful piece of equipment and, as all OPICO machines are, strong and well made."
